Overview

What security monitoring does for your site.

Security Monitoring applies Visrax detection and zones to the patterns security teams care about: movement after hours, activity along a perimeter, entry into areas that should be closed, and objects left where they should not be.

Instead of reviewing hours of overnight footage, the team receives alerts with evidence and reviews only the moments that matched a rule.

Most overnight footage is empty. Visrax finds the few minutes that are not.

What it does

Security Monitoring, piece by piece.

Each part is configured around your cameras, zones and schedules — the same system, set up for the way your site runs.

  1. 01

    After-hours movement

Scheduled rules flag people and vehicles in areas that should be inactive outside working hours.

  2. 02

    Perimeter monitoring

Zones along fences, gates and yard edges raise alerts on approach, crossing or dwell.

  3. 03

    Unauthorised access

Restricted rooms and areas are monitored for entry outside expected patterns, with each event logged and reviewable.

  4. 04

    Abandoned object review

Objects that appear and remain stationary in monitored zones are flagged for review.

In practice

Situations your team will recognise.

Retail store with shoppers near checkout and stocked aisles. Illustrative object detections.
01

Movement after closing

A person is detected in a retail stockroom two hours after close. The alert, with clip, goes to the on-call manager who confirms it is the cleaning contractor and closes the case.

Vehicle access area with cars and a separate pedestrian route. Illustrative object detections.
02

Gate perimeter activity

A vehicle dwells at a yard gate outside delivery hours. The perimeter rule raises an alert and the security team reviews the clip from the gate camera.

Commercial building circulation area with people walking through the entrance. Illustrative object detections.
03

Restricted room entry

A server room zone registers an entry at the weekend. The incident is assigned to IT, matched to a change ticket and closed with the reference recorded.

Questions

Security Monitoring questions

Straight answers about how this is configured, what it needs and what it does not do.

01Does security monitoring use facial recognition?
No. Rules are based on object classes, zones, schedules and behaviour. Visrax is configured around what happens in a space rather than identifying who someone is.
02Can alerts be sent to an external monitoring provider?
Alerts can be routed to email and messaging channels, which many teams use to reach their monitoring partner or on-call staff.
03How are false alarms handled?
Rules support schedules, minimum durations and exclusion zones. Closed incidents marked as expected activity guide tuning during the pilot.
04Is evidence admissible or auditable?
Evidence is stored with the incident along with a full history of who viewed and changed it. Retention and access are configured to your policy.
