Overview

What offices and commercial buildings does for your site.

Office buildings and commercial properties need to understand how space is used and what happens outside business hours. Visrax turns lobby, floor, corridor and car park cameras into occupancy data, visitor-flow insight and after-hours alerts, without adding sensors or changing the building’s access systems.

Facilities, workplace and security teams each get a view scoped to their work, from floor utilisation to restricted-area entries.

Buildings are expensive and often half empty. Knowing how they are really used changes what you do with them.

What it does

Offices and Commercial Buildings, piece by piece.

Each part is configured around your cameras, zones and schedules — the same system, set up for the way your site runs.

  1. 01

    Occupancy analytics

Occupancy by floor, zone and hour, with capacity alerts and trend reports for workplace planning.

  2. 02

    Visitor movement

Flow and dwell through lobbies, reception and shared areas to manage queues and improve layouts.

  3. 03

    After-hours activity

Scheduled rules that flag movement on floors, in plant rooms and in car parks when the building should be quiet.

  4. 04

    Facility usage patterns

Utilisation of meeting rooms, floors and amenities over time to inform space decisions and service schedules.

In practice

Situations your team will recognise.

01

Reception flow at peak

Queue and dwell at the front desk are measured during the morning arrival window. A second check-in point is trialled, and the dwell metric confirms the improvement.

02

Restricted floor entry

A floor reserved for a tenant’s secure team is monitored outside hours. An entry raises an alert to building security with the clip attached.

03

Occupancy by area

Monthly utilisation shows an under-used floor. Desk allocation is consolidated and the released space is repurposed, with the change tracked in the same reports.

Questions

Offices and Commercial Buildings questions

Straight answers about how this is configured, what it needs and what it does not do.

01Does Visrax identify employees or visitors?
No. It counts and tracks movement of people in zones to measure occupancy and flow; it is not configured to recognise individuals.
02Can multiple tenants use the same system?
Yes. Permissions are set per site, floor and role, so each tenant or team only sees its own areas and reports.
03How does it relate to the access control system?
Visrax complements access control by showing what happens in spaces between the doors. It does not replace badge systems or door controls.
04Can occupancy data be shared with workplace planning?
Yes. Occupancy and utilisation reports export to PDF and CSV and can be scheduled for regular distribution.
